In this episode of Shaping Your Journey, my special guest Anders Astrand is a Swedish born mallet specialist equally skillful at the marimba and vibraphone improvisation. He recounts his journey from studying music in Sweden to becoming a sought after clinician, performer and composer, composing for such diverse ensembles as brass quintents, saxophone quartets, big band and choirs.
