After completing a Bachelors degree in university in marketing and management, David worked for 14 years in retail. He recently retired from Yamaha and is still very active in the percussion community.

He later went on to tour with the circus, which is where Rick began his relationship with the staff at Remo as he tested new products on the road for the drumhead maker.
